Expert Opinions:
Forensic Medicine Associates is able to review cases and provide expert opinion reports suitable for legal proceedings and other requirements. Investigations can be in the nature of:
- Paper review of cases
- Review of tissue microscopy
- Scene attendance
- Attendance at autopsies as an observer
- Conduct second autopsies
- Appearance in court as an expert witness
Medicolegal autopsies:
Professor Duflou is also available to perform coronial autopsies and associated investigations directly for the coroner or other requesting authority.
Research:
Professor Duflou is a highly regarded researcher, having in excess of 100 peer-reviewed research publications to his name in areas as diverse as injury assessment, pathology of trauma, natural disease, toxicology and quality assurance. Requests for applied and casework based research will be considered.
Training:
Forensic Medicine Associates can provide training in aspects of forensic medicine and pathology at various levels, including lay persons, schools, undergraduate and postgraduate students, and as part of ongoing medical, legal and other education.
